We remember today. We remember why they fought. We remember the ideals. The beliefs. The principles. We remember.
If we fail to learn from history, we will repeat it. Freedom isn’t free. Let us not allow those who died for our freedoms to have died in vain. We remember them. We honor them. And we continue to fight for everything that they fought for.
We might be fighting a different war now, but it’s still a war. We now fight against unknown enemies, cyber enemies, biochemical enemies, viral enemies. We fight for religious freedom, and for basic human rights. We fight for medical freedom. We fight for the Constitution. We fight for our families. For body autonomy. A fight that will continue. We may not be asked to give our lives, but some of us may.
Now is the time to honor all of them. Now is the time to be brave, be bold, stand up, speak up, and rise up!
We fight for the truth!
On this Memorial Day, God bless America. The land of the free because of the brave.
